How it Works
Domain names are registered for periods of time, and need to be renewed after that time is up. Through our partnership with Moniker.com, Grassroots.org is able to provide domain name registrations free for one year to nonprofit organizations. After that year, you can renew with our registrar or the registrar of your choice. Renewing your domain through Grassroots.org costs $8 to $10.95 annually. When your domain is registered with our registrar, you retain full legal ownership of your name. This means you can have an independent .org domain name that will reflect your organization's reliability.
