Meet Sarah Sturgeon
My name is Sarah Sturgeon and I'm a web designer. I found Grassroots.org when I was looking for opportunities to expand my portfolio. I am not sure I remember exactly how I came upon it, but I'm glad I did! It has been a great opportunity to work on some fun projects.

How has Grassroots.org impacted your life?
Grassroots.org has been an excellent way for me to develop some portfolio work that I am proud of, as well as working with some great organizations. I created a site for Mountain Home Food Basket, and am currently working with Objectif Magazine on their site/blog. Hopefully I will continue to do some more projects in the future.
I think Grassroots is a great way for newer designers to gain some work experience. Many times you are expected to work for free or for very little. In my opinion, working for someone who otherwise couldn't afford a professional website is the best option. You get to work for a good cause along with working on some rewarding projects.
What are you future goals?
My future goals are to work as a freelance designer, as well as working on my traditional art. I really enjoy working with non-profits, and hope to keep doing so in the future.
