Organ-ize The Planet

About Organ-ize The Planet:

The mission of OTP is to raise the awareness on the need for organ donation. Organ-ize the Planet was founded in 1997 by Michael Corbitt after his young daughter received a life-saving kidney transplant.

Their clients are more the people we have been influenced to register to donate organs but they have also financially assisted organ families in need.

Michael on Grassroots.org:

"In a nutshell Grassroots.org has been the glue that has held my non-profit together and without their services I would have a very difficult time carrying on with my message. Without Grassroots .org free web site design and hosting I would not have been able to afford to launch my non-profit."

Favorite part of working with Grassroots.org...The web site designer named Joe Manson. Turns out he is from Maryland which is my home state although I have been living in California for 22 years. He was very creative and professional and became a friend through our time spent together …unbelievable guy!

Grassroots.org's Overall Impact On Organ-ize The Planet:

A web site is far reaching and was the best venue to get the word out and fill our needs. We have received emails from around the world since its launch.

A person was directed to our web site through a friend and as a result of our video and info we provided was influenced enough to register to be an organ donor. Doesn’t get better than that….

Though the Grassropot.org web site we also have a Donate Now button and we have been able to raise some funds which is critical to our survival.

The Future for Organ-ize The Planet:

To get 1000 people to register to be Organ Donors in 2008 and also raise some additional funds to help donor families in financial needs at Stanford Hospital this Christmas as we did last Christmas.
