Happy September! I hope this message finds you well. Thanks so much to everyone who volunteered in recent weeks - we continue to have a record number of nonprofit members interested in our design programs, and are so grateful to everyone who stepped up and took on multiple projects this month.
We still have 50+ organizations on the website design bulletin board, so if you have any extra time this month, please consider volunteering for a worthy nonprofit!

Mozilla Service Week Grassroots.org is very pleased to announce our involvement with Mozilla Service Week (September 14-21, 2009). The goal of this week-long event is to harness the power of the Web for good and recruit volunteers to do so in many shapes and forms!

Help these organizations! Web Design: Dial A Chef in Berkeley, CA provides quality culinary arts training for low and moderate community members with barriers to employment. They are looking to have a website created for them. To volunteer, please contact Karen - dialchef@msn.com and cc laura@grassroots.org.
Graphic Design: Immigrant Defense Project in New York, NY defends and promotes the legal, constitutional, and human rights of immigrants fighting criminal and deportation charges. The organization is looking to have a logo, letterhead, and business card designed. Please contact Michelle at mfei@immigrantdefenseproject.org (cc laura@grassroots.org) to volunteer.
